Planter fasciitis

Planter fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is a painful and frustrating condition that often leaves sufferers with limited mobility and an inability to stand or walk for long periods of time without pain. Plantar fasciitis is the inflammation of the plantar fascia ligament, which runs from the heel bone to the toes. The plantar fascia ligament becomes inflamed when it's overused, such as when you put strain on your feet by standing or walking too much. It also can be caused by wearing high heels or flat shoes that don't provide proper arch support.

At Calgary Foot Care Nurses, we will determine if there are x-rays needed. We may recommend medications, or physical therapy. In rare cases, we may recommend surgical options.
